NEW YEAR + NEW GOALS

I can not believe another year has gone by! Hello 2011! This has been a year packed full of excitement and changes for me and my family. Last year my goal for my photography business was to improve my skills technically. I think I have come a long way in just one year. Thank you to everyone who answered my questions and helped me along the way to become a better artist. There is def so much to learn in the ever changing photography world so I am going to continue on that journey. My main goal for this year is to find ways to become a better business owner. This year I was happily surprised by the growth of ANP but also thrown back by the amount of work it takes to be successful! I was unable to take everyone that inquired because of our crazy schedule with David working nights and me staying at home with Ava. I hope to find new ways to manage emails, phone calls, texts & facebook messages! It was all a bit overwhelming for me to take on alone. I'm not sure if I will be hiring someone to help me out or just finding a different way to manage my work flow. So much of this is trial and error and if something isn't working out I've got to move on and try something else.

So probably by now you have noticed that I have this beautiful new blog and that I have been a horrible blogger. Another goal for this year is to use this Blog! I plan to post at least once a week. I am going to be doing some catching up with some of my favorite sessions and weddings from 2010. I decided to start with a wedding. Not only was this wedding beautiful but everyone that was apart of it was wonderful to work with and that makes my job so much more enjoyable. I love when clients give me the freedom to feel comfortable and document the day the way I see it.
